Special alloy makes the weld resistant to impact

Cobalt based alloy (Stellite) to retain hardness even at high temperatures 
High resistance to corrosion, oxidation, heat and wear

A 728
 
Surfacing of tools in mining and petroleum industry, milling, cutting, deep boring chisels, hard facing of tools mining and petroleum industry, drill bits.

Coarse Tungsten carbide particles embedded in German Silver alloy. Tough and wear-resistance hardfacing alloys for hardfacing of tools.

 

Special Characteristics :
 
 
Tough and wear resistance weld deposit is useful for cutting action.
Tungsten carbide particles in weld metal are hard, brittle and will not melt even in oxy- acetylene flame. 
Weld deposit is non machinable and not recommended for friction. 

Working Temperature  :  850 0C - 910 0C

E 738 S

Roughening of chilled cast iron crushing rolls in sugar mills, Spray type, extra-high wear-resistant electrode having complex carbides. Ideally suited for reconditioning of sugar rolls

Resistant to heavy loads.
Smooth and stable arc even in positional welding.
Faster build-up due to high deposition rate. 
Excellent deposition with an aggressive 'Spray type' arc permits its use even while the rolls are in use. 
Imparts better grip to cane being crushed
