ARC ELECTRODES CO., a unit of Modi Industries
Ltd., was established in the year 1962. Presently, a wide
range of electrodes ranging from general purpose mild steel
to stainless steel, cast iron to non-ferrous, hard surfacing
to low hydrogen are manufactured on the most modern equipment.
LOMELT,
low heat input electrodes for repair and maintenance applications
complete the range of stick electrodes.
The
company also manufactures MODI MAG wire for CO2
/ MIG welding process. The company also market MODI TIG
Stainless Steel wires for GTAW(TIG) process .
The
company also AUTHORISED DISTRIBUTORS OF ITW-WPG , USA in
North India and all subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd. The ITW
Welding Products Group consists of world class welding equipment
and filter metal manufacturing companies like Miller, Hobart,
Mckay, Tri-Mark, Corex, Powcon, Cyclomatic, Tien-Tai, Elga,
OXO etc.
The
coveted ISO: 9002 was conferred on company, by DET NORSKE
VERITAS (DNV) way back in 1995. Since then, company have upgraded
our quality system and obtained the coveted ISO:9001 Certification
for our Quality Management System in 1999. Probably,
the company is the first and only company in electrodes manufacturing
segment , in India, having obtained ISO:9001.
The
regional depots and offices, supported with wide network
of distributors throughout the country facilitate smooth and
quick distribution. A team of qualified and well trained
service engineers extends technical services to consumers.
Many
of the electrodes are manufactured to conform to the relevant
BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARD (BIS) as well as the American Society
of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) CODE, Section-II Part-C. Various
electrodes are approved by national and international agencies
such as ABS, BIS, BHEL, BECHTEL, CIB (UP), DESEIN, DNV, DALAL,
EIL, IRS, Kvaerner Powergas, LRS, MND, NPC, NTPC, ONGC, PDIL,
RDSO, TCE, TISCO, TOYO, UHDE etc.
A
well equipped and staffed R&D Centre has been playing
a vital role in offering suitable electrodes to the welding
industry. Continuous efforts of scientists and technicians
have kept MODI ARC, in forefront of welding technology.
Department of Scientific & Industrial Research , Ministry
of Science & Technology, Govt.of India has granted recognitions
to the R & D Centre of the Company.
